This elegant and stylish 1930s hand carved Elm study of a Doe Lying is beautifully observed and executed. It is signed 'NASH' on the underside and although there are some famous sculptors called Nash we cannot attribute this piece to any specific artist. There are some stable drying cracks in the Elm commensurate with the piece's age but these are stable and do not detract from the serenity of this wonderful sculpture which could grace any interior setting.
