This beautifully formed and extremely rare Limited Edition Bronze Abstract Figure Maquette was the creation of the renowned French Artist Roland Masson.
It has the Artist's stamped signature and is stamped number 3 of an edition of 8. There is a minute nick in the polished bronze and a very light graze to the marble plinth but these are barely visible (see close up images).
Although small (the bronze itself measures 14 cm), the sensuous lines of the highly polished bronze is extenuated by the textured sections and with it's white marble plinth it would grace any desk.

Contemporary French Artist Roland Masson works on the theme of the couple and the eternal feminine. A true stylist of the silhouette, the artist emphasizes the balance of volumes, reaching perfection.
Roland Masson enrolled in the fine arts of Poitiers in 1975 and devoted himself exclusively to sculpture.
Most of the his sculptures are made in bronze and are considered an Original Work of Art when produced in a maximum number of 12 copies. Among these 'originals', four are called “Artist Proofs" and are numbered EA I / IV, EA II / IV, EA III / IV, EA IV / IV in Roman numerals, the 8 others are numbered 1/8, 2 / 8 etc (this piece being 3/8). Once the 12 copies have been removed from the mould, the mould was destroyed.
