This is a naturally formed and beautifully enhanced Mahogany Abstract Sculpture by the renowned Barbadian Artist Reggie Metford. The piece is finished with Reggie's unique sanding and high gloss process which extenuates the sinuous lines. There is one tiny scuff to the corner of the plinth but this is very minor.
On the underside it is signed and dated (2007) by Reggie and still retains it's original label.

Reggie Medford is a self-taught Sculptor who uses his local Barbadian mahogany. He uses a unique sanding process which, along with the high gloss lacquer finish gives each piece its stunning sense of movement. Having graduated from school with advanced level certificates in Biology and Chemistry, Reggie rejected an academic career to take up handicraft. His artistic success has been seen in his exhibits throughout the Caribbean, U.S.A and Europe, and he has the distinction of being the youngest ever recipient of one of Barbados’ highest honours, namely, The Barbados Centennial Honour.
