This very fine rare Eric Claus Modernist Abstract Bronze Maquette is dated 1-10- 1986 and is finished with a dark brown patina and mounted on a black marble plinth. It is both stamp signed and limited edition numbered 13/15 on the rim of the disc (see close up images). It still retains it's original fitted case.

Eric CLAUS (Haarlem, 1936) Well-known Dutch sculptor with many sculptures in public spaces and museums and one of the most important Dutch sculptors of the modern era. His creativeness and unbridled passion for work as a sculptor, graphic artist and medal artist have led to the creation of hundreds of monumental and smaller sculptures, tokens, paintings, and drawings.
His works can be seen in public spaces throughout the Netherlands and other European countries.
Eric Claus presided as a professorship at the Dutch State Academy (Rijksacademie) in Amsterdam, from 1979 till 1990.
