Bruno Charron Avocet in Yew Wood
Bruno Charron Avocet in Yew Wood
Share
This is a wonderfully hand carved and observed sculpture of the iconic Avocet feeding by the British, Dorset based Artist Bruno Charron.
The bird is sculpted from a single piece of beautifully figured Yew Wood with Steel legs and Bruno has cleverly used the natural exterior of the Yew to create a shoreline plinth which brings to life the feeding pose of the Avocet. There are some very minor natural cracks on the base, but this does not detract from the elegance of this sculpture. On the underside of the base, it retains a partial Artist label.
